UNEP virtual journey highlights urgent need for peatland conservation

The most recent Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IBPES) assessment, shows that 75 percent of land, 66 percent of oceans and 85 percent of wetlands worldwide have been negatively impacted by human activity. Other U.N. reports, are also raising alarm bells on the climate crisis, warning of tipping points from which we may not be able to rehabilitate our planet’s ability to deliver life-supporting vital goods and services.
