Recognizing the vital role of peatlands at the global, regional, and national levels in addressing climate change, protecting biodiversity, and supporting the livelihoods of indigenous peoples and local communities, the International Tropical Peatlands Center (ITPC) and the Greifswald Mire Centre (GMC) will sign a Joint Declaration to strengthen cooperation in peatland conservation and sustainable management.
