  • Dr. Alue Dohong is Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry and was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 25 October 2019. Alue works at the ministry alongside the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar, in the Forward Indonesia Cabinet under the leadership of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin for the 2019–2024 period. Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry, Alue had served as Deputy for Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the Peat Restoration Agency (BRG) since 2016. He teaches natural resources and environmental management at Palangkaraya University. Prior to joining BRG, Alue founded the Institute for Environmental Assessment, Education and Training (LP3LH) in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan.
